• As the necessary proof has not been provided, the additional benefit in relation to the appropriate comparator therapy is deemed not proven (Section 35a(1), fifth sentence, of Book V of the Social Code [SGB V]).
• Appropriate comparator therapy
  • The appropriate comparator therapy for the debridement of infected chronic or severe slow-healing wounds is a debridement technique suitable for the individual patient, as chosen by the doctor.
  • Criteria for selecting the debridement technique include, amongst other things, the type of wound, as well as its location and size.
